About the author

RM Peacock

RM Peacock is a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy and a veteran of the Iraq War. After serving her country, she turned her attention to building a different kind of life—one rooted in soil, sweat, and story.

Today, Peacock lives on a solar-powered goat dairy in the Pacific Northwest with her husband and two children, making cheese from the milk of their herd along the edge of a shadowed wilderness. Here, coyotes roam freely, eagles battle osprey for the skies, and the line between the human world and the old one runs thin. When not farming, she and her husband guide their horses and mule through Olympic National Park, hauling gear among the giants of one of the world’s last temperate rainforests.

A mother, wife, daughter, and dreamer, Peacock’s debut novel, No Road but the Wild, draws from a life spent straddling the border between civilization and the unknown. Her stories explore the space where myth meets muscle, and survival becomes something sacred. Whether leading a string of pack animals through a misted forest or bottle-feeding baby goats under the stars, Peacock is always listening for the deeper story—the one that calls us back to what matters.

The Muleskinner Chronicles is her first series.
